I started this because Keto is my passion!
I actually started by accident.
Imagine my surprise when I went to the doctor for a typical check up and found out that I weighed 260 lbs!!!
YEP I was shocked!!
OK that might not be a lot to some people, but I’m only five foot five so it’s quite a lot to me
I left there determined to do something about it. Starting by doing more walking like doctor had said to do. on my way walking home from the bus I injured myself. Just wonderful, I fell broke my right elbow in 3 places and (of course I am right Handed)
I was out of work for 7 long months, I had Physical Therapy 3 times a week and couldn’t even cut my own food. If I had something that needed to be cut I would try till someone offered to do it. It’s no fun feeling so helpless.
Anyway, what better time to start a new way of eating than when my food is limited anyway?
So during that time I started the Keto diet and I’ve been going ever since.
I Started out very strict on it about 17 Grams of carbs a day. I’ve lost 70 lbs and about two or three sizes so I’m really happy with my progress.
I now drink Ketones every day and have loosened up a bit on the rigid carb limit but I still try to stay under 25 grams a day.
This is no longer a diet it is the way I eat now and I feel amazing. Along with the weight loss I have more energy and am more focused.
